The MARRIOTT/FORRESTAL VILLAGE was designed to provide a conference and hospitality center for corporations taking advantage of the Forrestal Village Business Center's proximity to Philadelphia and New York. The hotel consists of 300 guest rooms and suites decorated in rich woods and earth tones, a 10,000 sq. ft. Grand Ball Room, three conference rooms equipped with the latest in audio/visual capabilities, and eleven meeting rooms. Among its most appealing feature to business clients is the teleconferencing system designed and engineered by Transtek, which features direct down-link connections throughout the hotel's conference center and meeting rooms through a time saving hook-up at the loading dock.

TRANSTEK joined the design team for the MARRIOTT/FORRESTAL VILLAGE after the basic structural and architectural plans were approved by the owners. TRANSTEK's contribution to the project included the special lighting and control, audio and video system design for the "Boomerang" nightclub, and background music and paging system engineering. Transtek was also responsible for all elements of the audio and video communications and distribution system for the Conference Center in the hotel.

TRANSTEK provided complete design services for the following systems throughout the project:

  • Entertainment Lighting and control systems
  • Theatrical and performance lighting and audio systems
  • Teleconferencing system & audio-video distribution system
  • Video announcement and directory system
  • Satelite TV reception and distribution
  • Audio/visual projection system

The hotel opened in September, 1987.
